Food Friday: Lucille Ball's Salad Dressing
For today's Food Friday I thought I would share a page from a 1938 collection of celebrity recipes entitled Famous Stars Favorite Foods. Each recipe includes the celebrity's headshot.
I've recently become interested in pre 1950 collections of celebrity recipes that are like community cookbooks. In the case of this particular cookbook, it appears that the money raised benefits the publisher who's husband died.
This is from my recent research trip to the culinary collection at the Los Angeles Public Library. If you haven't researched there they have a terrific culinary and genealogy collection.
