Food Friday: Cheezy Ham and Rice



Are you still digging out from Easter leftovers? Perhaps you need to try a new ham recipe? You're in luck because today's Food Friday is from the 1973 Three Rivers Cookbook "the Good Taste of Pittsburgh" by the Child Health Association of Sewickley, Inc.

This is quite a cookbook, I actually have the 22nd printing of the cookbook from 1997, complete with a plastic cover for easy cleaning. The Child Health Association's website has a some information about their obviously successful cookbook that they have been publishing for 35 years.

Inside the cookbook we can also get an idea for the history of the Association.



This cookbook has 1400 recipes from community members and nearby restaurants.

Today's recipe is for Cheezy Ham and Rice.




Quite frankly, they had me at the word cheezy.
