Today's Food Friday recipes comes from a surprise sent to me by Lee Eltzroth of the Hunting and Gathering blog. Lee is a fabulous researcher and extremely kind to me through her surprise packages of great cookbooks. Thanks Lee!

Today's cookbook is Dawgfood. The Bulldog Cookbook by Mot and Len Davis (1981). From alumni of the University of Georgia, these recipes include different tailgating ideas.

It was really hard to pick something for today's recipe because I really enjoyed reading all of them and the great comments about the recipes. One of my favorites included a tailgate party idea with lobster and caviar. That recipe asked those who actually implement the recipe to contact the school about donating.

But I liked the simpleness of most of the recipes and the fact that they could even be used by students. Heck you gotta love a cookbook with this recipe.

So today's recipe is a Desperation Menu called Inventarole. Anyone who lived through the 1970s will recognize this education in putting together a casserole with condensed soup. This recipe is a good reminder of how to put a meal together when you don't feel like grocery shopping.
