Food Friday: Mock Pumpkin Pie
I know tomorrow is Halloween but for some reason I'm thinking of pies. This 1921 Ladies' Aid Society cookbook has some great recipes for pies.
Today's recipes comes from The Pilgrim Cook Book. Published by The Ladies' Aid Society of Pilgrim Ev. Lutheran Church (Chicago, 1921). Notice that the name and address of Mrs. H. C. Steinhoff can be found on the title page for those who wanted to secure extra copies of the cookbook.
These two pages include traditional Thanksgiving pies. What interest me the most is the Mock Pumpkin Pie found at the bottom of page 70.
