Food Friday: Recession Raspberry Jam

Not sure what to do with that bumper crop of tomatoes? This recipe from the centennial cookbook titled, Incredible Edibles from Sacred Heart Parish (Redlands, California. 1994) provides a rather interesting tomato recipe. The name says it all and there's no doubt in my mind that the idea behind it came from substituting foods in times of a recession or food rationing.
